Saala Khadoos Trailer Review: Last evening saw the release of 2 trailers which had one thing in common BOXING, but this one has the raw appeal which is required for a sports action drama. This film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi as “Saala Khadoos” and in Tamil as “Irudhi Suttru”. It is directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, who debuted with “Drohi” in 2010.
This film has Y NOT studios and Thirukumaran Entertainment jointly producing the movie, who got Rajkumar Hirani on board as Creative Producer keeping the close relation of Madhavan with him and to get the pan India appeal to the film. It has Madhavan playing the lead as a retired Boxing Coach who dons a great look to match the attire, he was professionally trained by Alexander Coates, and was helped by his friend Shilpa Shetty in gaining and losing weight. Action choreographer Tom Delmar from the fame of many Hollywood blockbusters was roped in for boxing sequences.
The hard task was to find a female boxer who can box and act, that’s when the team stumbled on to Ritika Singh who is a boxer in real life and from the trailer you can see she can act equally good as she lays those punches. The roughness you see in the trailer is natural the crew adds, as she has the focus of sportsperson which made this character more interesting.
One more highlight of this flick is the score is by Santhosh Narayanan, now he will be appreciated Pan-India. The tunes already sound really good, and with the movie the soundtrack is going to rock. The cinematography is Sivakumar Vjayan and edited by Sathish Suriya.
The movie is slated to release on January 29th 2016.
