What is it about: This is the continuation of “Baahubali: The Beginning”, which throws a detailed light on the life of “Amarendra Baahubali”. What happens during that course forms the crux of the story directed by SS Rajamouli.

Why it’s disappointing: This can stay put for this film.

What to watch out for: The wait was really long to know the much asked question of the decade in Indian Cinema. But that was worth it and the way director Rajamouli derived it was perfect. This film itself became a brand which was being flaunted by every movie buff. No one else could have done a better job than Rajamouli, who spun a screenplay with great depth which did justice to the previous film.

He established every sequence with utmost detailing explaining the unanswered questions from the previous part.  The flashback was narrated in a very poised manner keeping the sanity of the subject. At times you’re awestruck the way heroism is converted in to a dynamic screen presence with characters filling out the screen space sumptuously. Characterization holds a solid ground in this sequel. And there are few sequences where the director touches the audience’s hearts.

Anushka Shetty has one of the strongest role in the film and the way it has been shaped is impressive. You get to see a different Anushka which you might have not seen before, such a graceful performance. And the chemistry between Anushka and Prabhas was a sweet one.

Ramya Krishnan was remarkable, she brings a great energy and dynamism to the character which no one can match her screen presence nor the dialogue delivery.

Nasser was spot on and was cunning as hell.

Rana Daggubati can churn out some real evil. His role was not a big one in this sequel, but given space he did a great job.

Sathyaraj’s role was the most discussed among the audience due to that stupendous question. In this sequel he does have some comic relief scenes and his role was well etched out and did a commendable job.

Prabhas, still wonder would anyone else had done a better job. I don’t think so, he was a perfect choice. The dedication he had towards the characters he played was remarkable, he makes a solid case on emotions which he played it with great diligence. An amazing actor who has carved a niche space in Indian cinema.

The cinematography by Senthil Kumar was great he had a nake to capture the beauty and it was meticulously edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.

Music by MM Keeravani was great and the background score was haunting. It shuts off when not required and is back on at the right note building a momentum.

The VFX was spectacular, something you haven’t seen before in Indian Cinema. Action was well choreographed with neat treatment. Even though at few places it might look over the top but the fiction demands it and suits well.

Verdict: Rajamouli, gave a perfect ending to the much awaited epic, which will go on to the shelves creating a benchmark hard to match. Definitely worth a watch, don’t miss it.
