What is it about: It’s a story of a man who gets trapped in a high rise building with no food or water, what happens during this struggle forms the crux of the story directed by Vikram Aditya Motwane.

Why it’s disappointing: This section definitely stays put, as this will join the list among the best made films of the year.

What to watch out for: Making a film, which revolves just around one character is quite a task. Director Vikram Aditya Motwane did a fantastic job in weaving a story which keeps everyone at their toes. It was perfectly scripted with elements which were not only convincing but were executed with finesse. Every frame goes with an anticipation of next.

Trapped was gifted with a talent of great calibre, Rajkummar Rao. He takes the film to the next level with his excellent performance, which travels at different shades. He holds the audience’s attention with no compromise.

The cinematography by Siddharth Diwan was great, which explored the dark corners of the survival. And that was crisply edited by Nitin Baid. The music by Alokananda Dasgupta was good which was enveloped with a haunting sound design by Anish John.

Verdict: Vikram Aditya Motwane, did a spectacular job in etching out a thriller which is confined to space and characters. And was performed by Rajkummar with no compromise. Definitely worth a watch, don’t miss this one.
