Actor Sathyaraj’s fierce speech at the Kollywood protest against Cauvery issue gained a lot of appreciations from Tamil people. The actor said he will not budge even if they send an army here to Tamil Nadu. Sathyaraj later met the media and said he is not scared of anyone. “I have filed my IT returns and there is no need for me to worry about the raid”, said Sathyaraj as his reply to Tamilisai Soundararajan, leader of BJP.
Veteran director Bharathiraja also said that IPL game must be banned and the cricket match should not be conducted in Chepauk stadium in Chennai. According to Bharathiraja, this is the time for protest and get the rights of Tamil people but the Government is trying to divert the attention of Tamil people.
Director Karu Palaniappan said that if we attack IPL which is being spearheaded by rich people, the Government will automatically come down and solve all the ongoing issues in Tamil Nadu. Palaniappan also said that people should attack TASMAC, the biggest revenue generator for Tamil Nadu Government to gain the attention of the ruling party.
Actress and director Lakshmi Ramakrishnan also said that she is going to boycott IPL, she tweeted “We have a bigger issue to tackle today, I support peaceful protest, I BOYCOTT IPL…When Tax payment is centralized, Natural resources have to be Centralised.Rivers should be allowed to take their course”.
