What is it about: It’s about the system which is being followed for decades in Indian when it comes School admissions, this forms the crux of the story directed by Saket Chaudhary.
Why it’s disappointing: This can stay put.
What to watch out for: The film had a very serious notion to deliver, but the way it was gelled in to a comedy was a beautiful job done by director Saket Chaudhary. It takes the very old tradition of School Admission to a level, and presents it in a subtle manner. The comedy element was perfectly timed with crisp dialogues, which not only makes you laugh hard but also puts you in a thinking. The situations played out in the film were beautifully derived which was neatly written. The strong suit of the film were its actors, who were aptly chosen and had played out well.
Irrfan Khan, is known for his acting prowess. And he has this nake of infusing an effortless comic element which always becomes a boon to the director. An amazing actor, and in “Hindi Medium” he delivers another commendable performance.
Saba Qamar, a debutante in Bollywood and a gift of talent from Pakistan Film Industry. She didn’t seem new to the territory and gave a great performance. A good looking talent who can do comedy hands down.
Deepak Dobriyal, a great actor who always makes the best given to him and so did he with “Hindi Medium” too.
The music by Sachin-Jigar was good so was the background score by Amar Mohile.
The cinematography by Laxman Utekar was good so was the tight editing by Sreekar Prasad.
Verdict: Saket Chaudhary, delivers a strong message in a very comical way. And he made sure to reach out to the audience with choosing actors who fit bill right. Definitely worth a watch, don’t miss this one as you’ll laugh hard.
