What is it about: It’s a horror comedy which serves as the sequel to the film “Goosebumps”. The film picks out another chapter from the Stein’s unfinished fable, and the events which follows forms the crux of the story directed by Ari Sandel.

Why it’s disappointing: This could stay put for this film.

What to watch out for: It’s a film which you can’t ponder at the logic. As it’s meant to be aloof and doesn’t care much about the consequences. Hollywood always throws in all sorts of Halloween treats. And this one falls under the sweet cane candies unlike the sinful dark ones. The film delivers what it promises and doesn’t leave a room for complaint. It picks up right from the go and keeps you entertained with goofy characters. Director Ari Sandel packs in good laughs which are indeed funny in site of it being lame at points.

Jeremy Ray and Caleel Harris were a solid duo who made the geeks look perfect. They shared a good friendly chemistry. Madison Iseman despite looking text book cliched characterization, she pulls off a good one. Wendi Mclendon was quirky, and Ken Jeong were funny.

Jack Black’s cameo was a timely one. And does add a quotient in the end.

Barry Peterson’s cinematography was delectable which was complimented by convincing VFX. It was crisply edited by David and Keith. Dominic Lewis score was apt for the genre.

Verdict: Ari Sandel, packs in enough goofs to keep you going for the crisp 90 mins. Doesn’t disappoints and delivers what it intended to. Do catch this with your kids, who will enjoy the most. A goofy watch for the Halloween.
