What is it about: It’s a comedy-drama which focuses on the idea of same-sex marriage in our current society. The film is directed by Hitesh Kewalya.
Why it’s disappointing: This can stay put for this film.
What to watch out for: The film fulfils what it promised with its trailer and promos. Fast paced writing which keeps the sanity of the subject in focus and does a good job in entertaining the audience with slapstick laughter. The pop culture was perfectly blended and well executed.
Ayushmann Khurrana has become a genre of his own. He’s been dishing out good films one after the other and has become the new age darling of the audience. If they see Ayushmann is in it, then just rush to the theatres to catch his film. This is no different he’s done a great job.
Jitendra Kumar as Aman Tripathi was an amazing performer. Their chemistry on screen was blazing. Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta once again score high with their performances. So were Manurishi Chaddha and Sunita Rajwar. There were two more performers who did a great job. One was Maanvi Gagroo as Goggles and Pankhuri Awasthy as Kusum. Both were a natural and blended so well with their respective characters.
The film had a great energy which kept travelling smoothly in all aspects. The music was good, so was cinematography and editing.
Verdict: Hitesh Kewalya, did an amazing job in pulling off a comedy which focuses on a sensitive subject. It was cautiously written with slapstick comedy which doesn’t get excessive and kicks in laughs every other minute. A total out and out comedy which doesn’t takes a breath, entertains you throughout. Definitely worth a watch, don’t miss it.
