What is it about: It’s about a real estate cum taxi driver Rangarajan (Pathiepan) who is asked to take care of Kevin (Shanthanu) arriving from abroad. What happens later between Kevin and Mohini (Parvathy Nair) wife of Rangarajan forms the crux of the story directed by Parthiepan.

Why it’s disappointing: The film has this tag line stating “A Film with Mistakes”. I thought it was a sarcastic statement by the director to stress that it’s one of a kind film. But unfortunately the makers took the literal meaning of it and made a film with many mistakes.

I wouldn’t complaint about the story, as it was a good one. But the story was not executed with the intensity it deserved. I can only say it was either deliberate or ignorant mistake. The film runs at a very slow pace, confusing the audience on what’s happening on screen. Director thought by confusing may be the audience will appreciate the intellectual aspect of it, unfortunately it just got few funny comments which livened up the mood of the sleeping audience in the cinema hall.

Shanthanu was seen on screen after a hiatus gap, unfortunately a bad move in choosing this one. There was no scope for performance. He was looking lost as much the director was in the movie.

Thambi Ramaiah’s comedy was too bland. It didn’t work out well, like it did the last time.

There were few scenes which just get on your nerves with too cheesy and tasteless dialogues. The film had very weak dialogues and we see Pathiepan who have acted in the film seemed too confident on his direction and acting, which lead to an uncooked recipe. His performance was ok, compared to his previous films. And he tried his old technique which he usually does with Vadivelu, which quite didn’t work out this time.

What to watch out for: There were few aspects in the film, which were quite good. And one among those was actress Parvathy Nair. Even though her talent was not entirely utilized, she did a convincing job and could emote pretty well. Hoping for a better break for her.

The cinematography was decent by Arjun Jana so were the cuts by Sudharsan. The music by Sathya was quite good as well.

Verdict: Parthiepan may be had too many roles to don in this film, and didn’t know which one to concentrate on. This resulted in a film which doesn’t manage to captivate the audiences. Can’t say worth a watch, I wish I can.
