A fun filled track which celebrates Atrangi Yaari: Wazir would mark the third film for director Bejoy Nambiar who started his career with an Indie film “Shaitaan” and then went on making “David” a bilingual. David had a neat style of parallel narration, but was not appreciated commercially. Vidhu Vinod Chopra was impressed with Bejoy and offered to direct “Wazir”.
The challenge for Bejoy was handling 2 powerhouses Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhthar with a dash of John Abraham. Bollywood is known for its multi-starrers, but still it becomes a task for the director to manage the stars. Bejoy was gifted with great talents of the industry who made his work quite easier with “Wazir”.
This was initially called “The Fifth Move” went on to be titled “Wazir”. This video here has Abhijat Joshi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra reminiscing their memories and work. “Atrangi Yaari” celebrates friendship, we have Abhijat and Vidhu on one hand and on the other Amitabh Bachchan & Farhan Akhthar singing. A beautiful song penned by Gurpreet Saini & Deepak Ramola and music is composed by Rochak Kohli.
This kind of spectacle is never seen in Kollywood, it will be great to see big stars come together on screen making their fans happy.
