What is it about: This film is about the title character played by Raj Kiran. And is conflicts in relationship with his son, the journey of this forms the crux of the story directed by Dhanush.

Why it’s disappointing: This one can stay put for this film.

What to watch out for: Relationships are the hardest, and as the age passes by it gets even tougher to cope with changing trends. Amidst all this we somewhere lose that emotional contact with our parents. Director debutante Dhanush has beautifully etched out the character Power Pandi. It has the emotional value which runs deep and reminds you of your mishaps. It’s a usual clichéd family drama, but when a director packages it well with solid writing, which doesn’t deflect from its notion, makes this come out strong.

Raj Kiran, I’m in awe of this actor the innocence he brings to this character is remarkable. You literally fall in love with him. His body language was great and steals the romantic scenes beautifully.

Revathy, she may have come on screen for a small duration but the emotional drive she creates melts your heart. The chemistry which sparks between Revathy and Raj Kiran is way better than VC and Leela in KV.

Prasanna was commendable and was good to see Chayya Singh back on screen. The kid, Master Raghavan was spot on with his timing and dialogue delivery so was the neighbor character.

The cameo by Gautham Vasudev Menon was hilarious along with Robo Shankar.

The music by Sean Roldan was melodious and suited the film really well. Cinematography by Velraj was good so was the editing by Prasanna.

Verdict: Dhanush, did a beautiful job in portraying each and every character and hit a master stroke with Raj Kiran.  Don’t miss this one, take your family for it.
