As the OTT Exclusive movie release is in trend now, Zee5 is about to premier the Venkat Prabhu-Vaibhav starrer Lockup movie. Zee5 is a OTT platform which premiers low budget movies by acquiring the rights of low budget movies which are struggling due to the lockdown struggle.
While the medium budget movies are taken over by Amazon prime video, the low budget movies choose Zee5. Already few movies were released exclusively on Amazon prime like Jyothika starrer Ponmagal Vandhal and Keerthy Suresh starrer Penguin. And they both received a no. Of views which didn’t result into losses.
Zee5 also released two movies which are Cocktail which was starred by Yogi Babu and Danny starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Lockup is going to premier on August 14 which is a day earlier to our Independence day. This Vaibhav-Venkat prabhu starrer is going to be a crime-thriller movie reportedly. It’s debut of Venkat Prabhu as a lead actor, earlier Venkat Prabhu was seen directing youth favourite movies like Chennai 28 sequel, Mankatha and these both has involvement of Vaibhav as an actor.
The Director even was seen doing cameo and guest roles in few movies like Naveena Saraswathi Saavdhan, etc . We hope it would have been a best experience for Venkat Prabhu to be a lead character along with Vaibhav. Zee5 announced the premier date today in its twitter handle and was instantly retweeted by the cast of the movie. The movie Lockup also starrs Vani Bhojan in a pivotal role. The actress was last seen acting in Ashwant’s Oh my Kadavule and she had an important role in the movie and she was recognised for that. The actress was playing a serial in the small screen and then debuted to silver screen through that movie.
Everything is set to release the suspense crime thriller in OTT on August 14.
