What is it about: It’s a Tamil Adult Comedy, which eventually revolves around a bag leading to chaotic incidents, what happens during those events forms the crux of the story directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar.
Why it’s disappointing: I have no qualms about this film, as it delivers what it intends to, and doesn’t deviate from being illogical.
What to watch out for: HHMD had a straight forward notion of entertaining people with adult comedy and made sure to hit that note at every turn in the film. And if someone looks for logic in such films, then he/she must be illogical. The film had amazing LOL moments and would tickle your funny bone endlessly. Comedy is something hard to make and when adult content is laced in to it, becomes a tough task. But debutante director Santhosh P Jayakumar, mastered it quite well with his witty writing which reflected in dialogues too.
Gautham Karthik, as a lead had little to contribute as this film per se didn’t have a scope for a lead though. He did his best for the part given. And it was the same case with Nikki Galrani, who did her best.
Karunakran and Rajendran as Kumaru and Spike were hilariously brilliant. They were quaint on their antics and pulled off an amazing comical performance which makes you laugh hard.
Namo Narayanan and Ravi Mariya as Idi and Thalaivar were unstoppable their comical sync was the best.
Sathish and Bala Saravanan as Kathir and Ravi did their parts well accordingly.
The cinematography by Selvakumar SK was nice and it was crisply edited by Subramaniya. Music by Bala Murali was quite an addition who was in sync with the director’s vision and made sure to add peppy numbers and the background score was upbeat.
Verdict: Santhosh P Jayakumar, did a hilarious job in conceiving this adult comedy which does perfect justice to its genre and serves as a good stress buster this Pooja Holidays, make sure to leave your kids at home and enjoy it to the fullest.
