Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala has fetched UA certificate from the regional censor board. Sources close to team Kaala say that the officials were shocked by the violence in the action sequences and told the film’s director Ranjith that they can only give ‘A’ certificate.
But if a Rajinikanth’s film gets ‘A’ certificate, kids fans of the actor will not be able to visit theaters and the producers later agreed for the fourteen cuts to get UA certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.
The producers of Kaala had to get No Objection Certificate from Tamil Film Producers Council because of their strike against various discrepancies in the trade. Rajinikanth plays an aged gangster in Kaala, the film’s important sequences were shot in a Dharavi set in Chennai. The team tried their best to shoot in the original live locations of Mumbai but they found it extremely difficult to control the crowd.
Rajinikanth has also had a special class to speak the ‘Nellai Tamil’ in Kaala and his scenes with politician Nana Patekar will be the major highlight, says a source close to team Kaala.
Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions are planning to release Kaala on April 27 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
