Hit director Atlee has given two solid blockbuster films to Thalapathy Vijay including the cop action thriller Theri and the mass action entertainer Mersal in which the actor played triple roles. There were rumors that Atlee would be doing a straight Telugu film with NTR but the director said that he is planning to do a Tamil film as his next.
Sources say that Atlee has pitched an idea to Thalapathy Vijay and the actor asked the director to develop it into a full-fledged script. But Atlee as also revealed that after completing his next Tamil film, he is having plans to do a straight Telugu film and the script work for that project is also progressing at a rapid pace.
Thalapathy Vijay is the first choice for Atlee but if the actor rejects the script, he might pitch the same story for another leading actor in the industry. Atlee also said that he would love to director Thala and Thalapathy together in a Tamil film but things have to fall in place.
