Netflix has produced many original films all over the world. But for the first time, they have entered into the Tamil market by buying the exclusive rights of Sila Samayangalil. Netflix had also bought many Tamil films in the past but only after the theatrical release but in case of Sila Samayangalil, the film will not have any theatrical release so it will be directly premiered on the online streaming platform.
Award-winning director Priyadarshan has directed Sila Samayangalil, the film features Prakash Raj, Shreya Reddy, Ashok Selvan and Varun in the lead roles.
There is no songs in the film but music composer Ilaiyaraaja has done the background score. Sila Samayangalil is originally produced by Prabhu Deva Studios and director Vijay’s Think Big Studio.
The film is said to be a comedy-drama happening in the pathology lab and Priyadarshan has tried to create an awareness on the most believed deadly disease AIDS in Sila Samayangalil.
Netflix subscribers can watch Sila Samayangalil on May 1.
