Confirmed: Vijay Sethupathi is Rajinikanth’s villain

Sun Pictures, the proud producers of Superstar Rajinikanth’s new film with Pizza and Jigarthanda director Karthik Subbaraj have officially confirmed on their Twitter page that Vijay Sethupathi is on board for the project.

“We are happy to announce that for the first time, Vijay Sethupathi will be acting with Superstar Rajini in #SuperstarWithSunPictures. #VijaySethupathiWithSuperstar”, wrote Sun Pictures on Twitter.  Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the villain in the film and the news was out long back. But in many of his interviews, Karthik Subbaraj politely said that he hasn’t confirmed any actors for his film.

Rumors also say that Trisha or Anjali would be Rajinikanth’s pair in the film but the director has denied that report. Anirudh Ravichander, a close relative to Rajinikanth is the music composer for the untitled action film.

Karthik Subbaraj is planning to complete the script work in June and he is likely to begin the shoot in July. Unlike Kabali and Kaala, Rajinikanth will be sporting a younger look in Karthik Subbaraj’s film.

Along with veterans, personal favorite actors of Karthik Subbaraj will also be featured in this film, say the sources.
