Jyothika had long back signed to play Vidya Balan’s role in the Tamil remake of blockbuster Hindi film Tumhari Sulu. The Tamil remake has got an interesting title ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’ An FM station and its late-night show are important turning points in the film so director Radha Mohan preferred to have Kaatrin Mozhi as the title.
Jyothika plays a middle-class housewife in the film, Vidharth of Mynaa fame plays the actress’ husband and Lakshmi Manchu who appeared in Kadal also plays an important role.
The film will be produced by National Award winner Dhananjayan’s BOFTA Media Works. Mahesh Muthuswami is the cameraman for Kaatrin Mozhi, Pon Parthiepan is wiring the dialogues, Praveen KL is on board for the editing and Poornima Ramasamy is for the costumes.
Kaatrin Mozhi shoot will begin as soon as Jyothika complete Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam in which the actress plays Arvind Swamy’s wife. Kaatrin Mozhi will release in the month of October.
