What is it about: It’s a romantic drama, which revolves around Shyra (Vaani Kapoor) a tour guide, and Dharam (Ranveer Singh) set in the romantic backdrop of Paris. The film is directed by Aditya Chopra.

Why it’s disappointing: The film may look good overall, but has one too many issues in the second half. We see Aditya limping with no direction and banking on the lead cast entirely. In fact the second hour gets quite tiring with an extended climax.

What to watch out for: Aditya Chopra hardly directs a film, and with this he proves a bit that he can pull off a modern day romance. He tries to infuse the emotions from old Yash Raj films and mixes it with a new ingredient of his own.

But what holds this film together is the performance by the lead cast, Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor are the saving grace. They hold the film strong throughout in spite of weak writing. Ranveer is extremely funny and girls you have a surprise in the film from him. His funny antics were well laid out. And Vaani was mature and extremely hot playing the role to its best. Both did a commendable job.

The cinematography by Kaname Onoyama was splendid, which captured the mystical Paris in its absolute beauty and was perfectly cut by Namrata Rao.

The music by Vishal-Shekhar was a great addition to the film and that was well backed by a crisp background score by Mikey.

Verdict: Aditya Chopra, tried his best to deliver a modern day romance, which had an interesting first half but gets quite weak in the second. But with a great lead cast it becomes a decent watch. Can definitely watch for the performances.
