Where is Omi Vaidya (aka Chatur from 3 idiots) nowadays??
Remember the nerd Chatur, played by Omi Vaidya in 3 Idiots? Most of the readers would agree that it was the best character in a comic role in recent years. The character Chatur Ramalingam, played by Omi provided him a great ground to find more work in the industry, but he could somehow managed to grab only a couple of movies after that, including a miniature role in Desi Boys starring John Abraham & Akshay Kumar.
Till now, Omi has done four films, and none of them have remarked the box office in the expected way. Even though the movies haven’t earned much money, Omi’s performance in all the movies were well-appreciated by both the audience, and the co-actors.
Talking about the overnight glam-light the character Chatur provided Omi, he says that it was not an easy role to play as he was not very familiar with the language. However, regardless the problems, we will agree that the character is played brilliantly by the actor.
The actor now prefers to act differently, rather than looking for the big budget Bollywood movies having famous star cast. Apart from this, Omi has recently become a father, and is busy in his fatherhood. As far as his career is concerned, he is doing an Indian-American show named as “Brown Nation” which will be released on Netflix on 15th November. Talking about more projects on hand, Omi said that he is trying concentrate on his family and want to spend maximum possible time with them, as he treats them as more valuable than anything else in the world.
We really appreciate this mature thinking of the actor, and wish him luck for all his future projects. We will eagerly wait for the show on Netflix and want to see his awesome performance in the show.
