88th Academy Awards an Insight and the winners list
This time of the year, film buffs across the globe make sure to catch the spectacular event of “The Academy Awards”. The 88th edition had Chris Rock presenting it, no offense he did not engage the guests there or the audience on TV. Last year Ellen crashed Twitter with her epic selfie. All we could see was Chris Rock coming in the end with a box of cookies. He was a mere presenter at the event rather an entertainer. The Academy Awards kind of felt tasteless with no soul in it.
The only thing which kept the audience last till the end were the final set of awards. The highlight of the evening was 6 Academy Awards won by Mad Max:Fury Road, followed on 3 by The Revenant for direction and best actor. Leo bagging the award made the fans across the world happy with social media buzzing endlessly. And finally Spotlight bagging its spotlight by winning Best Picture. The winning speech by Leonardo Dicaprio was a delightful one.
