89th Academy Awards an Insight and the Winners list
It’s a yearly tradition which doesn’t get tiring, especially to the movie buffs, who are glued to the screen anticipating their favourite film, artist or a technician wins an award. This year was the same with a lively host, who was way better than last year’s disaster. Jimmy Kimmel, did a great job but not Ellen great though. He made the Candies & Cookies drop from sky in tiny parachutes. He had something going on with Matt Damon on the side, which was witty and hilarious. The guests who came to present the awards were religiously performing the best.
Every year there’s something called the “Oscar Moment”, this time it didn’t quite work out. They brought in the Hollywood Tourists inside the Kodak Theatre as a surprise, none of them looked neither surprised nor excited.
But two performances which lit the show with lights were by John Legend performing “City Of Stars” from “La La Land” and Auli’I Cravalho performing “How Far I’ll Go” from “Moanna”. Another best of the moments from the event would be Jimmy Kimmel having the “Lion King” moment with Sunny Pawar of “Lion”.
With all said and listened, the evening was filled with joy, excitement and few disappointments. Most of the wards were deserving and the finally the Academy did a stunt of announcing the BEST PICTURE to be “La La Land”. That did bring a lot of disappointment, then within seconds, it was announced that the BEST PICTURE is “MOONLIGHT” and was told it was misread. Well who’s to blame as this never happened at Academy Awards. But end of the day, the deserving got the Golden Statue. The opening was good and the end was dramatic. That’s Academy Awards to you guys.
